
Sakarias Fredriksen Tranvåg is a Norwegian baritone educated from Barratt Due institute of music in Oslo and The Opera academy at The Royal Theatre in Copenhagen. In the season of 21/22 he made his debut at The Royal Danish Opera as Silvano in Un ballo in maschera. Later the same year he did Sciarrone in Tosca also at The Royal Danish Opera. In the season of 22/23 he made his debut at The Norwegian Opera & Ballet as Robert Baker in Wonderful Town. Since his debut he has done Fiorello in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Feri von Kerekes in Die Csárdásfürstin, Silvano in Un ballo in maschera, Sciarrone in Tosca, Barone Douphol in La Traviata, Un Chirurgo in La forza del destino, John Styx in Orphée aux enfers , Yamadori in Madama Butterfly and Bruder (Baritone) in Die sieben Todsünden at The Norwegian Opera & Ballet. He has also performed the role of Schaunard in La Boheme (Opera Østfold) and Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro (Opera Nordfjord)
In the seasons of 22/23 and 23/24 Sakarias was employed as a soloist intern (solistpraktikant) as a part of the soloist ensemble at The Norwegian Opera & Ballet.
Sakarias is also an active concert and oratorio singer and has performed works such as Messiah by Händel and Brahms requiem.
